El Segundo Brewing Company has been brewing beer at their El Segundo facility since April of this year. 19 California craft breweries brought over their beers to the Los Angeles Zoo for a night of “Brew at the Zoo.” Visitors gallivanted throughout the zoo, spotting seal lions, gorillas and Asian elephants along the way. The L.A. Beer Week team has come to a decision. Last year, “Unity, L.A.’s Team beer“, a California Common (aka Steam beer) was brewed by the L.A. Beer Week Committee on a hot autumn day at Eagle Rock Brewery. This year, the creative crew came up with a brand new recipe but the name will remain. Eagle Rock Brewery Co-founder Jeremy Raub explains the Autumn Saison, a collaborative beer concocted by Raub and Craftsman’s Mark Jilg, which will be brewed with help from some of L.A.’s craft beer advocates.
