Oh where, oh where, have all the food trucks gone? Straight to the OC Foodie Fest 2011 of course. Hungry patrons roamed the streets of Southern California as a fleet of food trucks parked themselves for the day at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, CA last Saturday. Despite the sweltering heat, foodies gathered at Angels Stadium for live music, shopping, a beer garden, car show, and of course, the many appetizing goodies served by the participating food trucks. Camarena Taco Truck Back on the Streets, Chef Tom Colicchio Teams Up With HBO, OC BBQ Fest For a Cause on The Scoop

- The Camarena Taco Truck returns to L.A! Following the success of last summer’s run in the City of Angels, Familia Camarena Tequila decided to bring the popular mobile food truck back to L.A. with a new menu, chef and truck wrap. The truck will also visit 14 additional cities nationwide.
- To help introduce the new tableside dinner service, simplethings sandwich & pie shop in Los Angeles will offer a free “cutie pie” with any savory pot pie entrée order for customers dining in the restuarant. The promotion will run April 1 – 30.
- TruckIt Fest returns to Downtown Los Angeles at Union Station on April 3 from 11 AM – 5 PM. Trucks include Cheeseball Wagon, VesuvioLA, Auntie’s Frybread and more.
- VnC Cocktails announces the addition of two new all-natural premixed cocktail flavors — Strawberry Daiquiri and Banana Daiquiri. The flavors will be available on May 1. Vnc Cocktails include 13.9% New Zealand vodka or premium tequila and 100% all natural fruit juice.
- Don’t feel bad about craving carbs today because it’s International Waffle Day! Find a waffle joint and enjoy some syrup-y goodness!
- The Orange County BBQ Fest is June 11 – it is the largest fundraising event of the year for Kristie’s Foundation
