Jul 24th
The long awaited LA Street Food Fest made its debut at the Rose Bowl on Saturday with over 60 different food vendors. At first we were discouraged by the lines, but it wasn’t that bad. We pigged out on the yummy samples, drank Singha beer and Camarena Tequila cocktails — and now it’s time to pass out! More >
Weekend, What Up!
Jul 22nd
I always wanted to be a superhero. I can imitate the clever dialogue from TV shows like “Zorro,” I can dress-up in a tight Spandex suit complete with a face mask and I bet I could even jump from building to building. Wearing a cape and saving the day would be rewarding but I would be helping everyone but myself. Superheroes are messed-up, man! Batman saw his parents murdered, Superman was the sole survivor on the planet Krypton and the Incredible Hulk has a mean temper! As I head down to San Diego for Comic-Con this weekend, I will let others dress up as the disturbed heroes and I will enjoy myself at their expense. Join me and have a good time — here are some things to keep you sane this weekend!

The definition of bottleneck is “a narrowing that reduces the flow through a channel.” This also describes the highways in Los Angeles. We “bottleneck” from the 101 to the 405. Sometimes we “bottleneck” because there’s construction, a closed lane, slow drivers, an accident, or even an accident on the other side of the highway. Instead of “bottlenecking” in traffic, grab a bottleneck beer and relax at one of the many things going on this weekend! More >
Weekend, What Up!
Jun 24th

I need a tan, not just because my name is Stan. I drive a Toyota sedan and sometimes I cook with a frying pan but what I really want to do is to be in the sun on the sand. As we welcome this SoCal summer, take a look at this weekend’s things-to-do — and wear sunscreen or you’ll get burned! More >
