New Belgium Brewing Company’s festival of bikes, music, and carnival fame makes their second appearance at the L.A. Historic Park. Named after New Belgium’s best known brew, Fat Tire, the event raises awareness of the “positive societal offerings of the bicycle.” Saturday’s free to attend event includes a bike parade, concerts, and a car for bike trade to name a few. Stone Brewing Co. Releasing New Book with Recipes, History of Stone and More

If you love everything about Stone Brewing Co., then you might be interested in the release of their book, The Craft of Stone Brewing Co.: Liquid Lore, Epic Recipes, and Unabashed Arrogance The book contains a behind the scenes look at 15 years of Stone Brewing Co., a history of beer, how to pour and store beer, a primer to pairing beers, recipes that use Stone beers, and more. The release is kicked off with an event at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens (1999 Citracado Pkwy, Escondido, CA) on Sept 27 with Co-owners Greg Koch, Steve Wagner, and Co-author Randy Clemens being available to sign books. Bottles of the limited edition Quingenti Millilitre beers will also be available for sale to those who purchase the book. More >
LA Beer Week Official Kick-Off Event at Naja’s Place in Redondo Beach with Stone Brewing Co.

With LA Beer Week around the corner, the brewers are starting to screw on their taps. On October 10th, Stone Brewing Co. will be at Naja’s Place in Redondo Beach, an old fixture in the Los Angeles beer scene for the official LA Beer Week Kick-Off Event. The event boasts to be “the ultimate Stone Brewing experience unlike any other (ever) outside the brewery.” It will feature 40 rare Stone beers on tap, VIP guests, book signing, and Stone Catering-provided food. ‘Chefs at Play’ at the Good Food Festival

As the “Good Food” movement makes its way cross country and through Los Angeles, the first annual Good Food Festival & Conference made its effort to educate and ultimately, feed us locally grown, sustainable good food from September 14th thru 18th. Due to the hard work and cooperation of the Santa Monica Farmers Market, FamilyFarmed.org, and Santa Monica High School the Good Food Festival entailed good food, speakers, demos, and workshops for discussion and to inform festival go-ers. The sporadic thunderstorms last weekend in Los Angeles did not stop BBQ lovers from attending the LA BBQ Fest. BBQers like Bigmista’s Barbecue Catering from Long Beach, and BBQ restaurants like L.C.’s BBQ, from as far as Kansas City, gathered at the Santa Monica Pier accompanied by beers from Stone Brewing Co., Coronado Brewing Co., Firestone Walker Brewing Co. and more. THE TASTE kept us busy this Labor Day weekend with their nine theme based events that had something for everyone. Celebrity chefs, L.A.’s finest restaurants, bakeries, breweries and wines were enjoyed throughout the four days. But the highlights of each event were always the food and drinks. Rustic Canyon Winebar, Blue Palms Brewhouse and The Counter Take Top Honors at THE TASTE’s Burger & Beer Event

Beer and food lovers, TV stars, chefs, restaurateur and food writers from all across Los Angeles showed up Friday night to THE TASTE’s Burger & Beer event in Beverly Hills. Attendees had the chance to vote for the best burger in the house. Out of the 30 participating restaurants, three winners were chosen. In conjunction with the restaurants, some of the finest breweries from Los Angeles and Orange County showed up to pour their brews for a hungry and parched crowd. More >
