What’s the Difference Between This Weekend’s Food Truck Festivals?!

Words from Sonja Rasula, co-founder of LA Street Food Fest: “This is an all-inclusive tasting event. Once you pay, everything you eat and drink inside is included. Trucks will be cooking on-site, catering style in tents on the field. The whole reason we created this event was to show off the amazing, diverse food in Los Angeles and the culture. We also wanted to use our skills as event producers to promote sustainability of the food truck movement.”

Los Angeles, CA 90037

Words from Heather Hope-Allison, co-founder of Outdoor Cinema Food Fest: “We really wanted to create an atmosphere that was a good draw for the trucks but it is also a safe place. We also work to diversify the cuisine each week so no competing styles will be next to each other. We also give an eclectic selection.”
Long Beach Street Food Festival
Where: Rainbow Lagoon Park
400 Shoreline Village Drive
Long Beach, CA 90802
When: 10:30 AM to 5 PM
Number of food trucks: 20+
Capacity: 5,000-7,000 people
Tickets: $6 presale and $8 at the gate. Free admission for 5 and under. Enter our giveaway for two tickets! Click here to buy tickets.

Highlights: On the water, live entertainment, beer and wine garden and ample parking at the Long Beach Arena lot.
Words from Jean Hartman, Long Beach Street Food Fest co-chair: “We are trying to be purists to the food trucks so all of the trucks are cooking inside their trucks. Most Los Angeles-based trucks don’t have permits to operate in Long Beach, so this festival exposes them to a new audience.”
