LA Beer Week Closing Festival 2011: Photo Recap
Beer lovers lined up at the entrance of Union Station waiting for their commemorative glass of unlimited beer access. Cheers and heckles were heard throughout the day as those same glasses shattered on the floors. Sadly, the LA Beer Week Closing Festival signals the end of LA Beer Week. Check out our photo recap.
The Brews
Over 70 local and international breweries served up their flagship beers along with timed special releases throughout the day. Kern River Brewing Co. drew in a crowd around 2 PM with a pouring of their GABF award winning Citra DIPA while Firestone Walker tapped out their last year anniversary brew, XIV, in under 20 minutes.
Brews that we’ve recently covered include Mort Subite’s Lambics, and Golden Road’s fresh IPAs and Hefeweizens. Enjoy the gallery and check out the links if you want to learn more.
