LA-beer-week-headerDionicess is a series food and beer pairing event and this time it returns during LA Beer Week with Dogfish Head Craft Brewery from Delaware and Celebrity Chef Eric Greenspan of The Foundry on Melrose.

A-list Collaboration

Dionicess VII is part of ongoing craft beer events during the 2nd Annual LA Beer Week. Dionicess VI host/food writer Gev Kazanchyan told us this will be the first Dogfish Head tasting and pairing event in Los Angeles. Certified beer judge Randy Clemens, West Coast Sales Manager for Dogfish Head Craft Brewery Bryant Goulding will also be there. Bryant is flying in just for this special event!

How About the Food and the Drinks?

“We want people to try something that day they have never been able to try before. We want to get the stuff that is more sought after like limited batches, seasonal and the reserves.” Gev said about the Dogfish Head beers that will be poured.

The pairing will feature a five-course meal from Chef Eric Greenspan, who was awarded first place in 2008’s L.A. Grilled Cheese Invitational. Eric was also a contestant on the Food Network’s “The Next Iron Chef.” When we asked Gev if grilled cheese would be part of the pairing, “We may or may not or we may go somewhere completely different. It all depends on the beers for pairing.” He added, “We don’t want to stay to a certain type of food genre. We want to be able to flex our culinary and craft beer muscles.”

The lunch tasting and pairing event will be held at The Foundry on Melrose, in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 10. Tickets are available for $79 on ItsMySeat.com.
