Well, what proprietor wouldn’t want you at their establishment everyday? To achieve this, Culver City’s, City Tavern, will be featuring a different craft beer every day during LA Beer Week. Each beer will be paired with a dish for that evening to bring out the best of the brew. Also, as a special tribute to LA’s newest brewery, City Tavern will have Golden Road Brewing on their table taps for the two weeks of LA Beer Week.

A Word with the Chef

We caught up with Chef Jessica Christensen and asked her a couple of questions regarding the event. When asked about her thoughts on LA Beer Week, Jessica replied, “I think LA Beer Week is the brewer’s dozen of a week. It shows how so many different restaurants and bars can interpret and showcase craft beer love in Los Angeles.” Also, her inspiration behind the pairings are “based on initial taste and aroma of the beers and when possible, a conversation with the brewer on the process of creating each beer. I almost always double check myself with Michael Jackson and Garrett Oliver.”

Here is the current schedule of the featured beers and the foods that they have been paired with so far:
