Cinco de Mayo & Mother’s Day Weekend, What Up!
There are a bunch of food-related celebrations this weekend in Southern California. So, grab your mother and sombreros and find something to do this weekend with our Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day edition of Weekend, What Up!
Cinco de Mayo Thursday
- Drink up at Rush Street for their Cinco de Mayo celebration featuring mariachi band, DJs and dancing. 7 PM – 2 AM. Rush Street 9546 Washington Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232

- If you have the day off head over early to sister restaurant Mas Malo in Downtown L.A. They are also hosting a “Cinco de MALO Celebracion!” featuring drink and food specials. DJ’s will be spinning along with giveaways. 11 AM – 12 AM. Mas Malo 515 W 7th St., Los Angeles, CA 90014

- Bootlegger’s Brewery in Orange County is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with the release of their first lager. Food will served by Dos Chinos food truck featuring burritos and tacos. - The National Train Day Celebration features exhibits of model trains, train equipment and other attractions at Union Station. Free. 11 AM – 4 PM. Union Station 800 N Alameda St., Los Angeles, CA 90012
- Food Truck Derby features Great Balls on Tires, Takosher, Lardon, Naan Stop and more. The event will also have live performances by Saint Motel, Hanni El Khatib and DJ’s brought to you by Antenna and Hyundai. Must RSVP to get free food and open bar. 3 – 7 PM.
