‘I’m never drinking again.’ I said. I say silly things like that and I always mean it at the time. After a night of hard liquors, liqueurs, and beers my motivation to be up next morning was zero to slim. At some point Friday night I was drinking shots from a glass skull bottle, and another bottle of liquor that had lights that lit up from below. Did you know Patron made a coffee liqueur? Joseph Arthur wrapped up his month long residency at the Stronghold on Abbot Kinney in Venice. After performing each Friday in April, Joseph and his band brought down the pants-house in his final show. If you haven’t had a chance to see a show and this venue, hustle up. They have a bar, cushy couches, and guys wearing Buddy Holly glasses. Though he looks like a peaceful dude, Joseph’s guitar-wrath was mighty. More >
