After 11 extravagant days of beer culture and celebration in Los Angeles, LA Beer Week has come to a close. The celebration culminated with a festival held on Sunday at Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles. There were over 70 different breweries, four food trucks and over 1,100 craft beer lovers in attendance. We will miss you LA Beer Week, but that doesn’t mean the celebrating has to end. It’s funny to watch people eat beer floats. On Sunday Food GPS hosted Beer Float Showdown II at Verdugo Bar. There were many great floats, but only one could win! The winner was Boneyard Bistro of Studio city, with their concoction made with Floris Apple beer and Bourbon-salted caramel and cinnamon ice cream from Drunken Udder garnished with green apple and caramel crumble.
