We’ve made it through the Great American Beer Festival (barring a meteorite hitting me as I type this, though I think there’s only a 41% chance of that). How was it? What happened? Calm down, we’ll get to that. We found ourselves surrounded by the strange brewing world of Denver. That’s right, we checked out Strange Brewing. Not only that, but a whirlwind tasting at Highland Tap and Burger featuring Odell Brewing Co. and Oskar Blues. Then, we headed to Wynkoop Brewing Company for the Pints for Prostates Rare Beer Tasting event. This is all before the festival. That’s right. We’re pros. More >
California, Colorado Win Big at the Great American Beer Festival 2011

It was a history in the making for craft beer as the Great American Beer Festival celebrate its 30th anniversary. The GABF awards were handed out this afternoon in Denver, CO with big wins from California and host state Colorado. The awards were given out by beer industry judges raking over 4,000 beers submitted for the competition. More >
