The Vegetarian TostadaFamilia Camarena Tequila is bringing their spirit to the streets of L.A. — literally. The Familia Camarena Tequila Taco Truck is taking L.A. by storm this summer with tequila-infused proteins and sauces and we got the scoop at the truck’s launch party in Culver City, CA.

Bigger and Better than a Billboard

“Anybody can buy ads on Facebook, but this is our way to stand out and become relevant with consumers in Southern California,” Marketing Manager Charles Littlefield tells us. The truck will be cruising the L.A.-area and the best part is the tacos will be completely free! ¡Gratis!

Not Your Dorm Room Tequila

The truck’s launch party featured five drinks to spotlight the tequila: the Paloma, the Familia Camarena Tradicional Margarita, the Pomegranate Margarita, the Tequila Sunrise and the Mexican Orchard. Bartenders were also on-hand to pour shots of the Silver and Reposado tequilas. The truck won’t be passing out liquor on the streets. Instead, Chef Sevan Azarian infused the proteins and sauces with Camarena Tequila. Charles insists the truck’s tacos are another way to try the product. He says, “We want people to discover premium spirits better than what you’ve had in college.”

Get Some

Charles let us in on a little secret, the Familia Camarena Tequila Taco Truck will be at 120 events over the next 60 days. There is a catch — the truck is a lot like Cinderella’s magical coach because it won’t last forever. It will be on the streets for June and July and after that it may turn into a pumpkin.
