Dionicess VIII Double Beer Pairing Announced: The Foundry + The Bruery = The FoundRUEry

Dio-what? Dionicess is a beer pairing series started by professor and food writer Gevork Kazanchyan. With a passion for fine food and beverage (and inspiration from Dionysis), Gev began these events because he noticed a lack of good beer and food pairings in town. That was back in his college days. Now the series has set the high bar for pairing dinners.
Dionicess VIII will pair The Bruery’s beers with Chef Eric Greenspan’s culinary skills at The Foundry on Melrose in late February. We spoke to the team that’s making it possible. Here’s a look at what’s to come. More >
Sriracha Beer, Food and Secret Surprises at The Sriracha Cookbook Release Party

Sriracha, aka Rooster Sauce, has developed a quasi cult-like following. You might put it on your mac & cheese, pho and sandwiches, but food writer, Certified Beer Judge, and trained chef Randy Clemens incorporates the beloved red heat into everything from sorbet to cocktails. His new book, The Sriracha Cookbook, will be unveiled on January 18 and Randy has teamed up with the Blue Palms Brewhouse to throw the right kind of party. More >
Eagle Rock Brewery’s First Anniversary Party [PHOTOS]

Eagle Rock Brewery celebrated it’s first year in business with an anniversary bash today featuring a mini beer festival, food from Grill ‘Em All and Mandoline Grill and music from DJ MoreDillon in a very packed parking lot and taproom. Officially a brewery since fall of 2009, Eagle Rock Brewery opened their taproom in February of 2010. Seven months later, they won the first ever gold medal for Los Angeles at the Great American Beer Festival in September. More >
